Vision Casting

The Great Commission

  • On the political front, Peter and other leaders are working to help candidates and current officeholders of the US Presidency to focus on their position with respect to faith based initiatives (the fostering of participation by certain faith and community-based organizations to help Americans in need). He would like to create public forums where candidates will be compelled to state their beliefs on these important public issues.

  • Peter would like to encourage the country to focus on the historic Judeo-Christian values and heritage that shaped our nation’s history. Subjects of the teaching would include defining marriage, religious expression in the public square, and the challenges of maintaining free speech and religious liberty in a nation unwilling to confront Islam’s frequent intolerance of proselytizing and conversion to other religions.

  • Peter is also concerned with the country’s admittance of Islamic immigrants into the ranks of US citizenship when their religious beliefs seem to deny endorsement of the 1st amendment to religious liberty.

Westminster Theological Seminary
  • Peter continues to encourage alumni worldwide to plan more frequent reunion gatherings. It is his hope to develop similar meetings on an annual basis, providing rest and retreat from the issues of the day. Through modern technology, Peter hopes to bring up-to-the-minute theological treatises and texts to Westminster grads throughout the world.

  • The students at Westminster are often treated to Peter’s tremendous gifts of teaching and preaching. During the winter months, he hopes to find time to teach on the Origins of Covenant Theology, as well as Ancient Church History—two of his favorite subjects.

Proclamation Presbyterian Church & Proclaiming The Word Ministries
  • Peter will leave the office of Senior Pastor at the end of 2009 in order to give full attention to his responsibilities at Westminster. He plans to maintain a working relationship with Proclamation, as well as continuing to provide sound reformed Bible teaching as host of Proclaiming The Word, in both it's radio and television versions. Be looking (and listening) for significant enhancements of our presence on the Internet.
